Zortrax, a leader in the field of 3D printing, will equip 180 institutions in the Masovian Voivodeship of Poland with Zortrax M200 3D printers before the end of November 2015. The devices will be provided to the local communities of small towns and will promote 3D printing technology. The Masovian Voivodeship has the highest population and largest area of all Polish regions.

3D Printing for Everyone

This project is an excellent example of cooperation between Polish self-governing bodies and private companies, and will contribute to the local development of technological competences. According to the offer, Zortrax will equip 180 public institutions – such as schools, libraries, and local clubs – with the Zortrax M200 devices. The company will also ensure that people will have information on how to use the equipment by organizing dedicated courses for interested users, granting access to the e-learning platform, providing the institutions with professional software and a year’s supply of production materials.

Due to its potential and pace of development, 3D printing technology will be even more accessible as time goes on. According to analysts from Canalys, the value of the market rose by over 56% between 2014 and 2015.

Even Out the Opportunities

Insufficient access to cutting edge technology, as well as digital exclusion, continue to be serious problems in Poland, mainly in smaller towns. However, self-governing bodies are doing what they can to even out the opportunities and stimulate local communities. Zortrax’s project fits this trend perfectly, because it will not only provide free access to 3D printers in those smaller communities, but will also ensure that the people operating the printers are appropriately trained to do so.

The Zortrax M200 printer is already used in aviation, automobile production, and individual design studies. The project’s beneficiaries can be sure that the devices they are working with are of top quality and will allow them to utilize their knowledge in many fields.

The Zortrax M200 printer is perfect for both beginners in the field of 3D printing technology and experienced professionals, who expect top of the line precision and reliability. Our project reflects the growing interest in the 3D printing market. We offer not just the devices themselves, but an integrated printing environment with professional software, production materials, and a training platform. This will soon allow the local communities to spread their competences within the scope of the latest 3D printing technologies. These actions are also aimed at strengthening Poland’s position on the 3D printing market. We firmly believe that many of the people who are able to experience this fascinating technology in one of these places will enter our field as professionals in the future,” says Zortrax CEO Rafał Tomasiak.
